Asphaltech can offer a number of solutions to rehabilitate a road from the use of bottom layer SMAs (high bitumen and low voids) or deep lift asphalt with a variety of wearing courses. We can also offer other more environmentally friendly options to help our customers reduce their carbon footprint.
In keeping with Asphaltech's continual commitment to innovation, we have introduced the use of 100% Cold Mixed Asphalt into the market to rehabilitate pavements that have reached the end of their lifetime in the most environmentally-friendly way – substantially reducing the carbon footprint of road construction.
This technology uses 100% recycled material from the existing road pavement that requires rehabilitation. This material is then produced into a rejuvenated asphalt mix and is done so without the use of any heat, hence the name “Cold Mixed Asphalt”. Not only does this product significantly reduce carbon emissions in asphalt production, it also reduces the unnecessary disposal of pavement materials at refuse sites.
