These include the 2019 resurfacing of Barbagallo Raceway in Perth – considered the fastest and safest racetrack in Australia for V8 Supercars, the Mernda Rail Extension Project in Victoria, patching works at Melbourne Airport and race track works in Winton.
Asphaltech was also responsible for designing, manufacturing and placing the very first Stone Mastic Asphalt (SMA) pavement for the use of a runway and taxiway at the Perth International Airport, working with the Federal Airport Corporation (FAC).
A testament to our innovation in asphalt products, Asphaltech introduced 100% Recycled Cold Mixed Asphalt (100% RCEA) into the West Australian Market in the City of Stirling in 2015, and also created Strong Mix – a fuel-resistant asphalt product that resists chemicals penetrating and damaging asphalt layers.
Other WA clients and projects include the Cockatoo Ridge reconstruction in the City of Joondalup, Garling Street rehabilitation in the City of Melville and High Road reconstruction in the City of Fremantle.
In Victoria, Asphaltech’s unique red-coloured asphalt, Gravelmix, has been used on bus lanes, delineation for safety purposes and for the general beautification of walking paths, driveways and public spaces across Victoria, such as Victoria Gardens and Melbourne Showgrounds.
We have been resurfacing Moreland City Council in Victoria with DuraMastic for over 10 years, and delivered 4,500 tonnes of Asphaltech’s 85% recycled, skid-resistant product, DuraGrip, for the 2018/2019 period to resurface the City of Darebin’s entire road network.
The City of Darebin, City of Whittlesea, Manningham Council, Nillumbik Shire Council, City of Whittlesea, Moonee Valley City Council and Brimbank Council are all clients of Asphaltech.
