Offering all the same features and benefits, including superior strength and durability, Duramastic Plus provides increased flexibility and reduced cracking due to the unique addition of crumbed rubber and extra bitumen. The rubberised mix in Duramastic Plus cushions any strain applied to the pavement, while its durability helps slow down the rate of binder oxidation and subsequent wearing course surface life.

One of Asphaltech’s premier specialty products, Duramastic Plus boasts greater elastomeric properties and robustness than any other polymer modified asphalt, including crumbed rubber-based asphalt mixes. Duramastic Plus is an excellent choice for a base asphalt layer or thin wearing course product, and because the crumbed rubber-modified mix retains heat and enhances workability, it is also ideal for cooler work environments.

The crumbed rubber in Duramastic Plus is made exclusively from used, non-biodegradable Australian-made tyres, reducing tyre stock piles that consume landfill sites and present a major fire and toxic fume emission risk. Duramastic Plus’ crumbed rubber is also locally-sourced, with the process of crumbing the tyres rigorously checked to ensure the highest quality and performance.
